How to cancel YouTube Premium

YouTube Premium renews at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel. You can also pause the membership instead of canceling it.

How do I cancel YouTube?

  1. 1Go to youtube.com/paid_memberships.
  2. 2Click Manage membership, then Deactivate.
  3. 3Click Continue to cancel.
  4. 4Select your reason for canceling, click Next, then click Yes, cancel.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you joined from the YouTube app on iPhone or iPad, you are billed by Apple and cancel from your Apple account; pausing is not available with Apple billing. If you get Premium through a Google Play subscription, cancel it in your Google Play account settings.

What happens after I cancel?

  • You are not charged again unless you re-subscribe, and Premium benefits continue until the end of the billing period.
  • You can confirm the cancellation in the paid membership section at youtube.com/paid_memberships.
