How do I cancel FreshBooks?
- 1Save any data you need from your account first.
- 2In a web browser, disconnect any active bank connections that import transactions and expenses through Plaid or Yodlee.
- 3Select your profile picture or initials in the top right corner, then select Billing and Upgrade.
- 4Select the cancel your account link at the bottom, leave a comment and confirm.
Billed through an app store or partner?
If you're billed through Apple Subscriptions or Google Play Subscriptions, these steps don't apply. Follow FreshBooks' separate help article on managing billing through Apple or Google Play.
What happens after I cancel?
- Your account stays active and accessible until the end of your billing cycle. Accounts inactive for 30 days or more may be deactivated and deleted after an email notice, and you can reactivate anytime before that.
- Recurring expenses, recurring templates and retainers are deactivated, bank connections are disconnected, team members can no longer log in, and clients can't comment on or pay invoices.
- Refunds or charge disputes are limited to 3 months of fees and must be requested from Support within 90 days. Recent payments have a refund grace period of 5 business days (7 calendar days).
