How to cancel a QuickBooks Online subscription

If you bought QuickBooks Online directly from Intuit, you cancel it in the Intuit Account Manager. If you have a QuickBooks Online Advanced or Intuit Enterprise Suite contract, contact your account manager to cancel it instead.

How do I cancel QuickBooks Online?

  1. 1Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager.
  2. 2Select Products & billing, then select your company name.
  3. 3Find the product you want to cancel and select Cancel.
  4. 4Follow the on-screen steps. When the cancellation is successful, you get a confirmation.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel through Apple's or Google's subscription settings. You can't cancel a Google Play subscription in the QuickBooks mobile app.

What happens after I cancel?

  • If you cancel your only QuickBooks Online subscription, you keep read-only access to your data for one year. After that, you must resubscribe to access your account data.
  • If you have more than one QuickBooks Online subscription, keep at least one under the same login to keep read-only access indefinitely.
  • If you change your mind while you are still within the billing period you last paid for, select Resume subscription on the subscription page.
