How to cancel an Ahrefs subscription

You cancel an Ahrefs subscription from the Billing tab in Account settings. Canceling does not delete your Ahrefs account.

How do I cancel Ahrefs?

  1. 1Sign in to Ahrefs and open Account settings.
  2. 2Go to the Billing tab to see your subscriptions.
  3. 3Follow the prompts to cancel the subscription.
  4. 4If the cancellation does not go through, email support@ahrefs.com from the email address registered in Ahrefs, or use the live chat (the chat icon in the bottom right corner).

What happens after I cancel?

  • The subscription stays active until the end of its billing cycle, which is the day before the Next billing date shown in your subscription.
  • The account then moves to the free tier automatically, and you are not charged again unless you resubscribe.
  • You can delete your saved payment card only after the account is on the free tier. Deleting the account itself is a separate request to Ahrefs support, and accounts with unpaid bills cannot be deleted until those bills are settled.
