How to cancel Codecademy Plus or Pro

Codecademy Plus and Pro renew monthly or annually until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the Payment and plan tab in your Account Settings.

How do I cancel Codecademy?

  1. 1Sign in and complete verification on your account. If needed, request a verification email first.
  2. 2Go to Account Settings and click the Payment and plan tab.
  3. 3Select I want to end my subscription, then click No thanks, I still want to cancel.
  4. 4On a monthly plan you are offered a pause; to cancel instead, scroll down and select No thanks, I'd like to cancel.
  5. 5Choose a reason for canceling, then scroll down and click Cancel my Subscription.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you paid with Afterpay, you also need to cancel in your Afterpay account.

What happens after I cancel?

  • The subscription deactivates at the end of your billing cycle, and you keep access until then.
  • After that you lose access to Pro or Plus content, but your lesson progress stays saved if you come back.
  • Codecademy does not give full or prorated refunds for subscriptions; you can ask Customer Support for a refund exception.
