How to cancel Linear Basic or Business

Linear bills each workspace separately. Workspace admins can change or cancel a workspace's paid plan.

How do I cancel Linear?

  1. 1Sign in to Linear with a workspace admin account.
  2. 2Go to Settings, then Administration, then Billing.
  3. 3Change your plan or cancel the subscription from the Billing page.

What happens after I cancel?

  • The cancellation takes effect at the end of the subscription period: the end of the billing month on a monthly plan, or the end of the billing year on a yearly plan.
  • Linear does not refund cancellations made partway through a subscription.
  • Nothing is deleted, but if the workspace has over 250 issues, you can no longer create new issues. Members become admins, as all users are admins on free plans.
