How do I cancel Microsoft 365?

  1. 1Go to account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the Microsoft account you used to buy the subscription.
  2. 2Select Cancel subscription (it might say Upgrade or Cancel).
  3. 3Read the Please review section at the top of the cancel page.
  4. 4At the bottom of the page, select I don't want my subscription.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you bought Microsoft 365 through the Apple App Store or Google Play, contact that store to cancel or get a refund. If you bought it from a retailer such as Amazon, manage it with the retailer.

What happens after I cancel?

  • Not every cancellation is refunded. For a subscription bought from Microsoft, you can check refund eligibility only after you cancel.
  • Your storage drops to the free 5 GB of cloud storage plus 15 GB for Outlook.com. On Family or Premium, everyone you shared the subscription with also has their storage reduced.
  • If you are over the free limit, you can't upload, edit or sync new files in OneDrive or send and receive Outlook.com email, and after 6 months Microsoft may delete your OneDrive files.
