How to cancel a Minecraft Realms subscription

You cancel Realms through the same account you used to start the subscription. If you started a Java or Bedrock Realm on a computer, you cancel it in your Microsoft account.

How do I cancel Minecraft Realms?

  1. 1Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in with the Microsoft account you used to buy the Realms subscription.
  2. 2Open Subscriptions from the menu on the left.
  3. 3Find the Realms subscription and select Manage.
  4. 4Select Cancel subscription, then select Cancel subscription again in the pop-up.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you started Realms on a console or mobile device, cancel it on that platform's website with the account you used to subscribe. For Xbox, use your Microsoft account. For PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Amazon, Apple or Google, use that account's subscription settings.

What happens after I cancel?

  • Your Realm stays accessible until the renewal date, and you are no longer charged automatically.
  • Minecraft deletes canceled Realms 18 months after cancellation, and you can't restart a Realm once it has been deleted.
