How to cancel Netflix

You can cancel Netflix at any time from the Manage your membership page. Signing out or deleting the Netflix app does not cancel your account.

How do I cancel Netflix?

  1. 1Go to the Manage your membership page (netflix.com/cancelplan) and sign in if asked.
  2. 2Click Cancel.
  3. 3Under Cancel, click Finish Cancellation. Netflix sends a confirmation email to the address on the account.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you don't see a cancel option, you need to cancel with your payment partner. Look under the Membership section of your Account page for a link to cancel or instructions to contact the partner.

What happens after I cancel?

  • You won't be charged again unless you restart your account, and you can keep using Netflix until the end of the current billing period.
  • If your account is on hold, it closes as soon as you cancel.
  • Netflix keeps your viewing activity, recommendations, ratings and account details for 24 months after the account closes, so they come back if you restart within that time.
