How do I cancel Namecheap?

  1. 1Log in to your Namecheap account.
  2. 2Go to Hosting List in the left-hand menu.
  3. 3Click Manage next to the hosting service for your domain name.
  4. 4Remove the checkmark from the Auto-renews every month/year option.
  5. 5To end the package right away instead, click Cancel service, review and acknowledge the terms, and click Yes, cancel hosting.

What happens after I cancel?

  • With auto-renew off, the package is suspended after its billing date and canceled afterward. Websites for add-on domains and subdomains and any email accounts in the cPanel account are suspended and terminated with it, so back up your data first.
  • Canceling right away erases all of the package's data immediately. Namecheap emails you when the cancellation is complete.
  • Canceling hosting does not cancel the related domain name registration.
