How to cancel a Bluehost hosting plan
To cancel Bluehost hosting, you turn off its auto-renewal in the Renewal Center so it ends on its expiration date. You can also contact Bluehost support by chat or phone for an account review, and support can cancel it for you.

How do I cancel Bluehost?
- 1Back up your website files and database before you cancel.
- 2Log in to your Bluehost Portal and click Billing in the left-hand menu.
- 3Open the Renewal Center tab and select the hosting plan you want to cancel.
- 4Under the Auto-Renew column, use the toggle to turn off auto-renew.
- 5In the pop-up, click Continue to confirm.
What happens after I cancel?
- With auto-renew off, the hosting cancels out of your account on its expiration date. After cancellation, Bluehost typically deletes the associated files and ends your access to its services, and the email and website tied to that hosting are suspended. Data permanently erased from the server cannot be recovered.
- New customers who bought hosting can request a refund under the money-back guarantee by contacting Bluehost within the first 30 days of purchase. The guarantee typically excludes supplementary items like domains, and under the Terms of Service you can be charged fees if you cancel before the end of your contract term.
- Domain names renew automatically by default. To stop that, turn off the domain's Auto-Renew in the Renewal Center before Bluehost renews it, 15 days before its renewal date.
