How to cancel a Teachable school plan
Only the Primary Owner of a Teachable school can cancel its paid school plan. Download any content you have not stored elsewhere first, because a canceled school is taken offline.

How do I cancel Teachable?
- 1Delete any custom domains and make your Teachable subdomain primary.
- 2In your school admin, go to Settings > Billing.
- 3In the top right corner of the Billing page, select Manage Plan, then Cancel Plan.
- 4Follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation.
What happens after I cancel?
- The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Paid features stay active until then, and you can still reverse it.
- Teachable no longer offers a free plan, so the school stays offline until you upgrade to a paid plan again. Students lose access to your content while it is offline, but your content and settings stay intact.
- Student subscriptions are not canceled automatically and may keep charging students for up to 30 days after your plan ends; cancel them from the Sales page to stop billing sooner.
