How to cancel Discord Nitro or Nitro Basic

You can cancel Nitro or Nitro Basic at any time. Cancel on the same type of device you bought it on; the steps below are for a desktop or browser purchase.

How do I cancel Discord?

  1. 1Click the cogwheel next to your Discord username to open User Settings.
  2. 2Go to the Subscriptions tab.
  3. 3Click Cancel in the Nitro or Nitro Basic banner.
  4. 4Follow the prompts to finish canceling.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you bought Nitro on a phone, you can only cancel it on a mobile device: in the Discord app, tap your avatar, then the cogwheel, then Manage Nitro under Billing Settings, or cancel in your Apple or Google Play subscription settings. Discord Support cannot cancel a subscription bought through an Apple device; contact Apple instead.

What happens after I cancel?

  • Your subscription ends at the end of the current billing period.
  • To undo it, click Re-Subscribe in the banner on the Subscriptions tab before the billing period ends; after that you need to buy a new subscription.
  • Refunds are handled separately under Discord's Refund Policy.
