How to cancel a Google Workspace subscription

How do I cancel Google Workspace?

1. 1Download any user data you want to keep, for example with the Data Export tool. After you cancel, your users' Workspace data is deleted and can't be restored.
2. 2In the Google Admin console, go to Menu, then Billing, then Subscriptions.
3. 3Click your subscription, then More (if shown), then Cancel Subscription.
4. 4Select a reason for canceling, click Continue, then Continue to cancel. If alternatives to canceling appear, click Continue to cancel again.
5. 5Check the box to confirm, enter your email address, and click Cancel My Subscription. On an email-verified subscription, you instead choose whether users keep their data before entering your email.

What happens after I cancel?

• On the monthly Flexible Plan, new charges stop right away, and you are billed at the start of the next month for the days you used. On an Annual/Fixed-Term Plan, you are charged for the remaining balance of your contract.
• Users lose access to Gmail, Calendar, Meet and other core Workspace services. User accounts, groups and your organizational structure stay unless you delete your organization's Google Account.
• If funds remain on your account after you cancel, you can contact Google to request a refund.
