How to cancel a Sam's Club membership

New Sam's Club memberships paid with a debit or credit card are enrolled in Auto Renew, and canceling online turns it off so the membership expires on its listed date. For immediate cancellation, visit the Membership Desk at any club; you can also cancel by chat or by calling 888-746-7726.

How do I cancel Sam's Club?

  1. 1Sign in to your Sam's Club online account and select Manage Membership under Account.
  2. 2Select Cancel Membership from the list of options to open the Auto Renew Unenrollment page.
  3. 3Select Cancel Membership, then confirm by selecting Yes, Cancel.
  4. 4Or visit the Membership Desk at any club and ask to remove Auto Renew.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If your membership renews through Auto Bill on a Sam's Club Credit Account, such as the Sam's Club Mastercard, you also need to contact the card issuer to unenroll from automatic billing.

What happens after I cancel?

  • If you cancel online, the membership and all add-on memberships expire on the listed date. Unless you get a refund under the 100% Membership Satisfaction Guarantee, you keep access until the end of your membership year.
  • If you're unsatisfied, the 100% Membership Satisfaction Guarantee lets you cancel and get a refund of your current year's membership fee. It excludes memberships bought through the Sponsored Membership Program or third parties, and there is a limit of one Plus Membership cancellation per household or business per year.
  • Sam's Club may keep some of your information after cancellation when it is needed for legal obligations or its record retention policies.
