How to cancel a Patreon membership

You cancel a paid Patreon membership from the Memberships tab in your settings. Cancel before your billing date so you are not charged for the next period.

How do I cancel Patreon?

  1. 1Log in to Patreon. If you also have a creator profile, click your profile picture in the bottom-left corner and switch to your member profile.
  2. 2Click Settings in the left-side menu and go to the Memberships tab.
  3. 3Find the membership and click View Details.
  4. 4Click Cancel membership, then confirm cancellation.
  5. 5Choose whether to stay connected as a free member, then click Save and continue.

What happens after I cancel?

  • The membership won't renew, and you keep access to paid content until the end of your billing period.
  • If the creator uses per-creation billing, you might get a final charge for paid posts made before you canceled.
  • Patreon doesn't typically offer refunds because payments go directly to creators. If you think a charge was made in error, you can submit a request for review.
