How to cancel an OkCupid subscription

If you paid OkCupid by credit card or PayPal, you cancel on the okcupid.com website in a browser. The app and the mobile site don't have a cancel option for these subscriptions.

How do I cancel OkCupid?

  1. 1In a web browser, not the app or the mobile site, go to okcupid.com/settings.
  2. 2Open your Subscription Settings page to see your subscription details.
  3. 3In the list of your subscriptions, click the Turn off automatic billing link.
  4. 4If the button says Renew instead of Turn off automatic billing, the subscription is already canceled, and you should see the date it is set to end.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you paid through Apple or Google Play, you can't cancel on the OkCupid website. Cancel in your Apple or Google Play subscription settings; disabling or deleting your OkCupid account does not stop their billing. If you don't see an option to cancel there, you likely paid by credit card or PayPal and need to cancel on the website.

What happens after I cancel?

  • Turning off automatic billing stops future charges, and you keep the rest of the subscription time you already paid for.
  • Canceling does not automatically refund unused time; when your paid time ends, your account goes back to free.
  • With credit card or PayPal billing, disabling your account does not cancel auto-renewal, so turn it off before you disable the account. Deleting your account cancels the subscription automatically, and you won't be charged again.
