How to cancel a Scribd subscription

One Scribd subscription covers both Scribd and Slideshare, so canceling it stops both. Everand is a separate subscription, and you can pause Scribd for 4 or 12 weeks instead of canceling.

How do I cancel Scribd?

  1. 1Sign in on the Scribd website and go to Your account.
  2. 2In the Your subscription section, select Manage Subscription next to Plan details.
  3. 3Select Cancel subscription, the link below the Pause subscription button.
  4. 4Follow the prompts to confirm. A page that says You've successfully canceled shows the date your subscription ends, and Scribd emails a confirmation.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you signed up through the App Store or Google Play, cancel from your Apple account (Settings, your name, Subscriptions) or in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. Apple and Google need 24 hours' notice before the renewal date.

What happens after I cancel?

  • Full access stays on through the last day of your billing period, then you move to Basic, the free plan. On a free trial, access ends as soon as you cancel.
  • Your uploads and saved items stay, but you lose AI summaries, Ask AI, text copying, ad-free reading and offline access.
  • Canceling does not reverse a payment that already went through.
