How to cancel an Avast subscription

Avast subscriptions renew automatically. To cancel, you turn off the renewal in your Avast Account before the next billing date.

How do I cancel Avast?

  1. 1Sign in to your Avast Account at id.avast.com/sign-in.
  2. 2In the top-right corner of the page, click My account, then My subscriptions.
  3. 3Next to the subscription you want to cancel, click Manage renewal.
  4. 4Next to Plan Renewal, click Unsubscribe.
  5. 5Select a reason and follow the on-screen instructions to finish.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you bought Avast through Google Play or the App Store, you cannot cancel it in your Avast Account. Cancel it in that store's subscription settings instead.

What happens after I cancel?

  • If you cancel before the next billing date, the subscription does not renew and you are not charged for the renewal.
  • The status changes to Expiring, and you can keep using the paid subscription until the date shown next to Expires on. After that, you either lose access or switch to the free version.
  • Avast sends a confirmation of the cancellation by email. If you have more than one subscription, repeat the steps for each one.
