How to cancel Private Internet Access

To cancel a Private Internet Access (PIA) subscription bought on the PIA website, you turn off auto-renewal in the PIA Client Control Panel. Subscriptions paid with cryptocurrency don't renew automatically, so there is nothing to cancel.

How do I cancel Private Internet Access?

  1. 1Log in to your PIA Client Control Panel at privateinternetaccess.com.
  2. 2Under Next Billing, select Turn off auto-renewal.
  3. 3If prompted, confirm by selecting Turn off auto-renewal again.
  4. 4If asked for a cancellation reason, select one and choose Submit. You'll see an "Auto-renewal was successfully turned off" message.

Billed through an app store or partner?

If you bought PIA through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, cancel it in that store's subscription settings. The subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.

What happens after I cancel?

  • PIA stops billing you for the next cycle. Your account stays active until the end of your current paid term, and then it does not renew.
  • If you'd rather delete your account and data, submit a ticket to PIA's Customer Support team.
